No one seems to take Marissa Rooney seriously when she tells them that her daughter is missing. Brooke is in college and it's not like her to miss classes. Or not tell anyone where she's going. Or go anywhere without her insulin. Brooke is not the only one reported missing in the area. Kim Covey hasn't been seen or heard from in weeks. But Brooke doesn't have weeks without her insulin, if she's not already dead.
Marissa's fear and determination were palpable. The characters were well-developed and for the most part the writing was good. Great epilogue. It was definitely a suspenseful page-turner.
